HOPE Community

We gather as God's people each weekend for WORSHIP & SERVICE, but often this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to being the Church of Jesus. We have to intentionally gather repeatedly throughout the week and month, not just to meet but because we know these relationships are essential to our wellbeing.
One of the ways we do this is as Communities of HOPE. During this season, we are learning what it means to be Communities of HOPE. A HOPE Community is a collective of 2-4 Fellowships (small discipleship groups) and those neighbors in relationship with the gathered disciples (Usually a HOPE Community is 20-70 people including youth & kids). Our purpose is to live as community--

practicing our values; celebrating & having fun together; sharing in rites of passage (and other sacramental instances); supporting each other; and to love our neighbors. Starting this January we will be 3 HOPE Communities, 2 gathering in North Charlotte, and 1 in Southeast Charlotte. We serve the neighborhoods of Davis Lake-Eastfield, Highland Creek, and Prosperity Village, as well as other neighborhoods like: Stonehaven in Southeast Charlotte.

The acronym HOPE stands for our four values.

Welcome Home, Orient to Christ, Progress Together, Extend Life Everlasting.
